COCOBOD Vows To Complete Cocoa Roads After Many Concerns Raised

Cocoa Farms

After many concerns were raised and farmers angrily kicked the halt of cocoa roads in very bad states, COCOBOD has given an assurance to complete all cocoa roads.

The COCOBOD roads on the existing projects will be completed. This follows the government’s ongoing engagement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

The cocoa road construction initiative by COCOBOD aimed at constructing cocoa roads in the rural areas where cocoa beans are sourced to make the transportation of cocoa very easy.

Mr. Boahen Aidoo, CEO of COCOBOD, emphasized that the purpose of the cocoa roads is not only to transport cocoa from cocoa-growing areas but also to provide inhabitants with quick access to healthcare and other key social amenities to enable rapid growth.

During the ceremony, Mr. Boahen Aidoo also stated that plans were underway to build healthcare clinics in cocoa-growing areas to increase farmers’ access to healthcare.
