In changing the status quo of nation-building and harnessing agriculture in Ghana for food security and job creation for the youth, the Former President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, is set to build the biggest livestock farm in Ghana.
During a tour of farms owned by the Former Prez, Mahama, on which he has invested in the cultivation of soya beans and other cash crops, Alhaji Mohammed Muniru disclosed the Ex Prez is planning to establish the biggest farm in Ghana purposely for animal production while also focusing on crops as well.
The 400 acres of farmland are located at the Busunu in the West Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region on massive production of cash crops.
According to Mr. Muniru, this has been a major development in West Gonja, listing the creation of jobs, water project developments, and access to electricity.
He also disclosed that John Mahama had secured a 600 -acre of farmland at Yapei in the Central Gonja District for livestock production.
While looking at this massive production, women’s empowerment will be strongly championed as the Former Prez Mahama is willing to make farm resources available.
