In line with the discontinuation of price controls for poultry, the Malaysian government is set to lift the ban on chicken exports starting July 1.
This decision forms part of a series of “soft landing” initiatives to be implemented following the termination of subsidies for chicken and egg producers on June 30.
Mohamad Sabu, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, conveyed this information during a session in the Dewan Rakyat, emphasizing the government’s support for poultry producers.
