The School of Agriculture & Food Science is accepting applications for a temporary UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 position.
Post-doctoral Research Fellow Description
This temporary contract role involves utilizing the DayCent process-based model to assess the effects of soil management practices on carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus cycling, as well as changes in soil organic carbon and greenhouse gas emissions within European cropping systems.
The model will be calibrated and validated using data from pertinent long-term experiments, enabling the examination of climate change impacts on nutrient cycling and the adaptation potential of soil management techniques.
The study aims to extend these findings to a regional and long-term context, offering insights valuable for climate-related policies. This work is part of the Climate Cropping project, supported by DAFM under the Soil EJP Program.
