September farming is considered a moment of joy when farmers start to harvest the greater part of their farm produce. During fall, farmers start to store their harvest in ban and proper storage facilities to ensure they are safe until ready to use.
Although September is the season you will see most farms harvesting their crops, there are some crops you can grow in September and be successful.
What are good crops to plant in September?
- Arugula
- Collard greens
- Lettuce
- Mache
- Mustard greens
- Peas
- Radishes
- Spinach
From my personal experience, temperate areas do not favour any crop, so it is best to know when the right time is to grow a particular crop. On the other hand, in the tropical zones’ crops do well all year round and you do not have to wait a particular month unless seasonal fruits.
