European producers dread unlimited Ukrainian poultry imports

Ukraine sent 94% more broiler meat to the EU in the first eight weeks than last year. AVEC estimated 32,306 tonnes entered the EU internal market.

Frozen broiler meat volumes rose 171% to 16,663 tonnes, while chilled volumes rose 40% to 12,439 tonnes.

Egg shipments nearly outpace beef exports. Ukraine sold many eggs to EU countries.

Egg imports into the EU increased 1,370% to 4,457 tonnes in the first eight weeks of 2023.

Table eggs increased 2,570% to 3,317 tonnes in the first eight weeks of 2022.
